There's so much pain inside
that never goes away

So many worries I hide
that never seem to fade

The pain that I feel
is brought upon me by myself

This cross that I bear
is born by me and no one else

There is no one safe
for me to confide in

There is no where safe
for me to reside in

I stand here lost
amidst the winds of change

I stand here hopeless......
with no one to love
one so alone and so strange.

I wrote this while at work, feeling very alone and sad. Turns out it was a day full of more lows than highs.

Cool. The rhyme is a style i like, very subtle words, and the emotion is captured very well. Top job.

Ah, very beautiful. I like how it rhymes (I'm a big fan of rhyming) but the rhyming isn't overly obvious, and the rhyme scheme is such that you almost don't notice it yet the feeling is still there.

Great job!

I love the photo. It reminds me of my homeland in the North Carolina. You did a good job capturing why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains. The poem is quite lyrical; I bet it wold be great set to some music. Well done.

wow. Thank you so much! Actually, This pic was on my friends computer when I was posting, it was just stock of some sort, but, yes, it does remind me of the blue ridge mountains. I was there on a school trip of sorts once, it is so beautiful up there. I love living by mountains, I could stare at them all day :)
The poem, well, I didn't think it wen with it :)
